Quality we stand by….

Hello all!

I hope you have had a wonderful week!  Pour Me Some Juice had a great week.  We are sad that we were only able to provide you with juice one time this week.  I had some meetings in Nashville discussing Pour Me Some Juice and Wholey Chow!  It may be something I share with you in the near future.  The Lord has been so good and I am praying He will continue to open doors for PMSJ and Wholey Chow.  Thanks to all of you who have signed up for a juice cleanse or a juice program this month.  Thanks to Lasha King, Amy Koerner, Jill Clark and Megan Baily who have worked very hard this past month to help provide you with yummy, raw, unheated, unprocessed, unpasteurized juice!

With all of that said…. I would like to talk about the produce we use.  I have had a lot of questions about if we use organics or not.  Throughout my studies, I have learned that choosing organic produce is very important when you are eating a thin-skinned piece of fruit or vegetable.  The thicker-skinned produce are not as important to be organic as the thinned-skinned.  The reason being, the thicker the skin, the more difficult it is for the chemicals/pesticides to reach the produce.  Pour Me Some Juice uses the dirty dozen philosophy when it comes to using organic or non organic.   See the dirty dozen list here:   http://www.ewg.org/foodnews/summary/

All of our thinned-skinned produce is organic, and the thick-skinned is not.  So I would have to say that about 85 percent of our produce is organic.

We try and buy our produce local whenever it is in season from Rose Creek Farms, Jackson Farmers Market.  When it is out of season or we can’t get it in Tennessee, these are the local/non-local businesses we use: Bulk Natural Foods (Where we buy all of our organic almonds), Azure Standard (non-local-small family, Oregon based business), and McCartney Produce.   I hope this helps all of you to know where we get the food you are drinking. =)

Stay tuned…. My next blog post will on the benefits of drinking your fruits and veggies

Blessings to you all!  Happy week!

Hello friends!

I have to share this special occasion with you. Today is our little boy’s birthday.  We are thankful the Lord has blessed us with Paul!  I can’t believe he is already two!  WOW….He is getting so big! We are ready for him to be home with us, but until then we will celebrate from afar!  We are excited to be celebrating his birthday with our family on Saturday.  I am going to attempt a Korean meal…yikes, let’s hope it turns out well. =)  I would love to make many more Korean meals when he comes home and LOTS OF JUICE! We appreciate all of your support and prayers along the way.  Blessings to you all!

PMSJ excitement….So much to tell!

Hello all!  I have so much to tell you, so I am going to break it up into three blog posts.  So stay tuned to what’s to come.

These past couple of weeks we have loved spreading the word about PMSJ.  We have enjoyed providing all of you with pure, non-processed, non-heated, raw juice.  We have come a long way since our last post, which I have had a lot of you tell me, “I felt so bad for you”.  Please don’t feel bad for me!  Challenging times brings growing times.  We have learned from that one hard day, and the days since have been hard work, but wonderful!

In the past month, we have served over 85 people and have processed over 300 units of juice.  We are in the process of getting our webpage up so all of you can order on line.  We are also in the process of trying to get shipping of our juices with overnight delivery up and going, so people in other areas can have access to our raw juice. Woohoo!

I owe a BIG thanks to my sister, Sha, for helping prepare all of the fruits and veggies the night before processing juice.  She is a machine!  She is the fastest fruit/veggie chopper in town.  She works a full time job, after she gets off of work on Mondays and Wednesdays, she comes to the kitchen and helps me.  I am very thankful for her.  I also owe a big thanks to my amazing friends, Jill, Amy, Shannon and Katie for always being willing to help me process and label bottles whenever I need them.  Their willingness and excitement to help overwhelms me.  I appreciate them more than they will ever know.  Lastly, but not least, I owe a “thank you”  to all of you who trust us to make you the purest of the purest juice.  Thank you for your continued support and for your business.  Thank you for telling others about PMSJ.  I appreciate all of you very much! You are helping us at this time bring our little boy home from South Korea.  See how PMSJ started……. http://pourmesomejuice.com/2012/09/16/raw-juice-for-a-mission/.

We are amazed at what God is doing through us and this business.  We are praying for Him to pave our way and guide each step we take.  Come along and journey with us! =)

JUICE MADNESS…….

Well we survived, we survived, we survived!!  My day started at 3:30am alarm went off, I hopped out of the bed, excited about our first day in the certified kitchen with our new bottles/labels.  I was smiling as I was getting ready and thinking about how perfect the day was going to be.  As I was leaving, I locked the door and all of the sudden out of nowhere the house alarm started going off.  It was SO loud; I think I woke up the whole neighborhood.  I ran in the house to turn it off and answer the phone so our alarm people would call off dispatch for the police to come.  I think I scared my husband and animals half to death.  So needless to say this whole episode put me behind a good 15 minutes.  But with this happening, I still thought to myself….. Nothing can get me down! Little did I know it was an indication of how the rest of the morning would go.

I met my great friend and life savior, Jill Clark at the certified kitchen.  It was so wonderful to have her helping hand!  She plugged my juicer in so we could get started and all of the sudden, she said “OH NO… your juice plug just broke and the juicer will not work.”  So I, in complete save-the-day mode, was racking my brain as to who had a juicer like mine.  It was 4:30 in the morning.  I hung up on my husband and sent a text to my friend Melody to ask if I could borrow her juicer.  Right away she text me back.  I mean at 4:30 in the morning… really, how in the world did she hear my text message when she was sound a sleep?   I was very thankful she came through with her juicer.  Jill went and picked it up, this put us behind 30 minutes.

At this point I am still thinking, it’s all good and nothing else can happen to get us down.  Since we were so behind schedule, I text my friend and raw chef partner Amy Koerner to ask if she could come release Jill at 6:00am.  I thought to myself, she will never hear the text, because she turns her phone off at night, well out of nowhere, she text me back.  So Amy came and I was very thankful for her help!

Amy left at 8:30 and I was still juicing and trying to get finished.  I was on a schedule and had a deadline of when I needed to be out of the kitchen and have juices delivered.  At 10:00, I text everyone to let them know there juice would be late getting to the drop off locations.  At 11:30, I was finally leaving to drop off.  You have to know that normally it takes me 4.5 hours to juice for as many orders as I had, but this morning took me 7 hours.  I was freaking out and I know my anxiety level was WAY up.  As I got in my car to take the juice I BROKE down…. I started crying uncontrollably.  I think I broke down for a lot of reasons.  This was a BIG day that we had been working towards for 10 months.  It didn’t flow as I planned and I was SO thankful to be finished so I could drop off all the orders.  This was the verse I claimed for this day….. “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength” Phil. 4:13

In all new things there are challenges and hard times, but through this I learned that no matter what, you work through those times the best you can.  All juices got delivered and everyone got their raw healthy juice, in their newly labeled juice bottles.  All I have to say is after this kind of morning; I am ready for our next juice day! BRING IT ON!

Thanks to all of you for your support and and patience through this process.  God is good and we know His hand is in all of this! He will continue to guide and direct our steps!  We do plan to have ordering take place on line by mid February or 1st of March.  So until we get there, ordering will be through e-mail at tiffany@pourmesomejuice.com

Thanks again for your support and business!  Blessings to you all!!
